Welcome to the Goshen Community Newsletter!

The year has flown by and it's hard to believe it is time for Town Meeting again. We hope to see you all March 4, 2024, at 7 PM at the Town Hall.

This quick newsletter is intended to inform you of some important information about upcoming events.
  • Town Reports - are available at the Town Office for pick-up in the bin on the porch. You can also view it online and download as a PDF by clicking the cover image.
  • Sweet Swap - please bring a plate of something sweet to share beginning at 6 PM, prior to Town Meeting. Visit with your neighbors and enjoy some good old-fashioned home cooked treats. Coffee, Tea, and Hot Cocoa will be provided.

Town Ballot March 2024

Proposed changes:

Shall the voters authorize the Selectboard to appoint a town treasurer as provided in 17 V.S.A. § 2651f? Shall the voters authorize the Selectboard to appoint a town treasurer that is not a town resident?

Shall the voters authorize the Selectboard to eliminate the office of town auditor as provided in 17 V.S.A. § 2651b? The selectboard shall contract with a public accountant licensed in this State to perform an annual financial audit of all funds of the town except the funds audited pursuant to 16 V.S.A. § 323.

Shall the voters authorize the Selectboard to eliminate the office of constables as provided in 17 V.S.A. § 2651a?

Weather Report
It has been positive to see the number of Goshen citizens attending regular selectboard meetings. The board appreciates interest as well as feedback.

The selectboard encourages citizens to attend AND participate in meetings to present ideas and constructive opinions.
