Vickee Whiting

Vickee Whiting was born in Milford, Massachusetts, the daughter of Victor and Helena Perron. The family moved back to Claremont, New Hampshire, where her grandparents had a large dairy farm. She attended Claremont schools, graduating from Stevens High. She was an avid downhill skier, starting at the age of three and raced at Sunapee and Ascutney Mountains. She received an Associates degree in Business from Graham Junior College in Boston and then lived for three years in Aspen, Colorado doing a variety of jobs that enabled her to ski.

After Aspen, she moved to Durham, New Hampshire where she worked at the University of New Hampshire in Admissions while getting her Bachelors in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she went to work in UNH Athletics as Ticket and Concessions Manager. She held a variety of jobs over the next 20 years becoming the Assistant Women’s Athletic Director and event Manager for football, basketball and hockey. She is an avid fan of both men’s and women’s college sports, the Patriots and Red Sox. She also served as the Vice President of the College Athletics Business Managers Association.

She first came to Goshen when she met her future husband, Jeff who lived in Goshen. When they married, she worked at UMASS in Athletics and they spent all their time off in Goshen. A highlight was going to the men’s basketball Final 4 as a work assignment. They retired in 1999 and moved full time to Goshen. She started to work at Killington as an Ambassador to get her season pass. She enjoys boating on Lake Champlain, her flower gardens and is an avid skier.

Her attention to detail makes her an excellent Treasurer and Assistant Town Clerk. She also takes notice to the gardens in the summer, weeding as needed, and addressing the outside decor at the office during the Holidays. She gets office supplies for all the officers in the town office, and stays on top of other office duties including making sure trash and recycling is out every Wednesday.
